X-23 vs Salmonella

Here is a drawing I did for DSD a few Thursdays ago. The “game” was to draw a randomly chosen character fighting some random chosen villains. The character that was chosen was X-23 and her foes could be either: a Platypus, and Ice Cream Sandwich, a Mummy or Salmonella. Of course I chose salmonella.
I had fun with this piece, and I think I may put some simple color into this one. We’ll see how much time I have.
Ichirou from Scratch 9
Scratch 9 is a really cool comic written by Rob Worley and drawn by Jason Kruse. It is about a cat who is able to summon the assistance of one of his other nine lives when he gets into a pickle. This fun tale is perfect reading for those that are young in age and young at heart.
I drew up one of my favorite characters, Ichirou. He is a Shaolin cat from 489 A.D. (And as Rob states, he’s hot like wasabi!) Ichi is a fun character to draw, so maybe I’ll have a little more time to kick around a few more Scratch 9 sketches in the near future! If you haven’t checked out this great series, run out to your local comic book store and check it out!
Oh, and if you’d like to see the black and white line drawing of Ichi, you can check out Rob’s blog on Scratch 9′s site.
Futurama’s Back
In case you haven’t heard in various interviews or on Desmond’s site, I am a pretty huge fan of The Simpsons and Futurama. Last week, Futurama returned to episodic television with brand new show on Comedy Central. In honor of this, I felt compelled to do up a little fan art. I don’t think I am done with the colors, so I may update this in the near future.
Be sure to tune in on Thursdays to see new episodes!

We had some great fun putting this thing together, and we are already planning the sequel to this book for the fall. Stay tuned for more details!
DSD Twisted Fairy Tale Studies
In April, Draw Sucka! is planning on releasing an Anthology comic book containing some Twisted Fairy Tales. One of my tales is “Hansel & Gretel” where the character of Hansel is a cross between old Elvis and Kiss.
Patty the leaf dancer

We have a ton of trees where we live, and every fall we manage to rake up a pile of leaves that is almost 5 feet high, by 10-12 feet wide. During the days in October and November, when the they have all turned colors and start to fall from the branches, it literally rains leaves. My wife and I love watching this happen.
One day, Patty was walking on our deck, and a gust of wind swept up all the leaves and swirled them around her. It was quite a beautiful scene. We had such great weather her the last few days, I will hate to see the fall disappear!
DSD One Shot: Spooky
This week’s one shot was to draw the word SPOOKY. You can check the all out at: DSD One Shot!
Foo’s Prints are up for sale!
